Users may even not noted this transformation of the Facebook platform into the most usable version for mobile phones.

Meanwhile, Facebook is a dominant website on smartphones across the world. Now, when the report on the 1st financial quarter earnings is published, it became more obvious.

For the 1st quarter of 2018, Facebook has earned 11.97 billion dollars in revenue and 4.98 billion dollars as profit. And 91 percent of advertising payment is from mobile.

In the 3rd quarter of the 2012 year, Facebook shared the first significant progress of mobile advertising. It had 14 percent than. Since that time, the part of the revenue from mobile was growing. In 2017 the revenue reached 85 percent.

And now it is the time when mobile advertising became more significant for Facebook than any other types. It reached 90 percent and passed it.

According to the official information from Facebook, it has over 2.20 billion users, which are active during the month. It is almost 13 percent over the year. As for the daily active Facebook users, they have 1.45 billion Facebook fans.

This social media does not break out numbers of mobiles from its users any longer. Experts explain this with the fact that Facebook users came to mobiles apps by themselves.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, who had to testify in front of Congress on the scandal with social media privacy and illegal use of the data, said that Facebook has very good start this year. He also mentioned challenges that social media is facing right now.
