Twitter is adding new users and remains profitable

Apparently, Twitter is good in turning the attention of users into money. Twitter has recently announced the second profitable quarter.

After 16 quarters of losing money and users, the social media company has published its optimistic quarterly report. According to the official numbers, released this Wednesday, it is the second in a raw profitable report for the quarter.

Twitter is currently working on turning the attention of its audience into earnings.

According to Twitter officials, they are waiting for the profitable year. At the end of the last year they set a goal to raise earnings, and for now they are working hard to finally leave not very successful period of 16 financial quarters.

Official numbers show 21 percent rise in the first quarter revenue comparing to the same period in 2017. They got to 664.9 million dollars. Representatives of Twitter say that video ads that they insert into social media website give them over 50 percent of revenue.

Analysts believed that there had to be 605.4 million dollars in revenue.

The profit of Twitter is equal to the 61 million dollars right now. It is 8 cents per share. One year earlier it was 9 cents for a share and 61.6 million dollars.

Analysts have expected to see 12 cents instead of 16 cents.

Meanwhile, the profit in one quarter is small. However, the most important is the growth itself as investors wanted to be sure that Twitter still has potential and users who active there.
