Amazon raises its sales and profit

The legend in internet sales, Amazon, has recently published its earnings reports for the first financial quarter. It shows 43 percent jump in earnings. Analysts believe the USA online shopping is on the rise and it helps Amazon to make optimistic forecasts for the rest of the year.

According to Amazon representatives, for the first three months of the year, sales went up to the 51 billion dollars, leaving behind all previous even the boldest predictions from analysts.

Amazon reported more than double profit comparing to the same period in the 2017 year. After a few hours of their official report, stocks went to the new high numbers at the market.

The company’s spokesperson says that Amazon expects to see bigger growth in revenue and profit in the next financial quarter.

Last year’s first quarter was equal to the 724 million dollars for Amazon. Now, its profit, earned by the internet trading grew up to the 1.6 billion dollars.

The head of the company, its founder Jeff Bezos, who also owns The Washington Post, is the richest man on Earth, according to Forbes.

Meanwhile, Amazon was recently attacked by Donald Trump, the USA President, who believes that such a big corporation must pay more taxes.

According to Trump, Amazon is a real threat to the official Postal Service in the USA, which looses over 1.50 dollars for every package delivered by its competitor.

Recently Amazon announced that their business in North America brought them 30.7 billion dollars comparing to 20.9 billion dollars during the first quarter in the 2017 year.
